One of our profs here is absolutely wonderful. Her name is Elaine Phillips, she’s from South Africa, and she’s just cool. I don’t know how else to say it. She and her husband Robin are into photography, and they have a way of seeing the beauty in everyone and making everyone feel at home. No cliques with them.
She and another lady wrote a book, which is as quirky as they are, haha. I just finished reading it the other night. It’s a series of letters between a stuffed hippo and a stuffed unicorn, so not exactly the most groundbreaking of things. However, it’s one of those stop-and-smell-the-roses books, which is what I think they intended it to be anyway. So it’s worth reading.
Just wanted to put a plug in for her.
There’s another book I read recently that I’m about to post about which is also a worthwhile read. (See next post)
